Doctor Riat specializes in geriatric medicine. She practices in Woodbury and Waterbury.
Dr. Riat joined Waterbury Hospital in October 2015. She received her Medical Doctorate Degree from the prestigious Karagandi State Medical University. Dr. Riat completed her residency in Internal Medicine and graduated from a Geriatrics Fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Riat is practicing Geriatric Primary Care and Internal Medicine, focusing her interest on primary care for the elderly, geriatric assessments, assessment of memory loss and dementia, fall prevention, polypharmacy and elderly drivers’ safety.
Dr. Riat is a clinical professor at both Frank E. Netter School of Medicine and Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Riat has received several awards for medical excellence throughout her career.
