Charity Care Policy
It is the policy of Waterbury Hospital to appropriately offer charity care in situations where the responsible party for the balance due does not have the financial resources necessary to satisfy their obligation within a reasonable period of time.
GWHN provides free aids and services to people with disabilities to communicate effectively with us, such as: qualified video sign language interpreter services, TTY, amplified telephone, personalized listening devices as well as free language services to people whose primary language is not English.

Your Rights and Protections Against Surprise Medical Bills
When you get emergency care or are treated by an out-of-network provider at an in-network hospital or ambulatory surgical center, you are protected from balance billing. In these cases, you shouldn’t be charged more than your plan’s copayments, coinsurance and/or deductible.
